Dress Code Reminders
Post Elementary has always asked that all students dress in a way that will
not interfere with the daily process of school, and will not take away from the
educational process. We do need to remind some of our students of some of
the dress issues that are becoming more a problem for some of our students.
A few issues we need to address:
- Sagging/Baggy pants that expose undergarments, or cause students to have
trouble walking, sitting, or hinder their free mobility are not appropriate.
- Blouses with spaghetti straps or tank tops are not appropriate.
Also, any top that does not entirely cover the stomach area is not to be worn.
- Shorts of modest length are appropriate, but excessive short shorts are
not.
- T-Shirts with derogatory, off-color or distasteful language should not be
worn.
We will address any/all of these with the students. Teachers will deal
with these on an individual basis with each student as needed. We will try
to deal with these as best to interfere least with the flow of class and
attendance at school. Most of our students do a wonderful job, but we do
need to be reminded of what problem areas are beginning to appear.
